Licences and Copyright

Last updated

Every capture, image and video on RealityTwinz is protected by copyright. This page explains who owns what, what a licence lets you do, and how to ask for permission.

Who owns the captures

  • RealityTwinz originals: captures, renders and photography made by our own team. Copyright is held by Neat Media SRL.
  • Creator captures: published by creators on the platform. Copyright stays with the creator, who is named on the capture. We show and sell them under a licence from the creator; see the Creator terms.

Viewing a capture, flying through it in Ride or opening it in the Studio does not give you a licence to use it elsewhere.

Marketplace licences

Captures for sale can be bought under one or both licences. Each purchase is for one person or one company, does not expire, and is shown in your account under My purchases.

Standard licence

Personal and small projects.

  • Use in one project: personal work, study, research, portfolio, a small website or app.
  • Renders and screenshots for noncommercial publication.
  • No resale or redistribution of the files.

Extended licence

Commercial work: games, film, VR, advertising.

  • Commercial use in products and client work: games, film, VR/AR, advertising.
  • Unlimited projects for the buying studio.
  • No resale or redistribution of the files as standalone assets.

What every licence includes

  • You may convert, crop, edit and combine the files, and keep backups.
  • Files you build into a finished product (a game, a film, an app) may ship inside it, as long as they cannot easily be extracted and reused as standalone assets.
  • Credit is appreciated but not required, unless the listing says otherwise.

Need something else?

For exclusive rights, resale, use in templates or asset packs, or anything the licences do not cover, email office@realitytwinz.com with the subject "Licence request".

What needs a licence or permission

  • Downloading or extracting captures streamed in the viewer, the Studio or Ride.
  • Republishing, reselling or redistributing captures, previews or images, including on stock or asset stores.
  • Training or tuning machine learning models on our captures or images.
  • Linking our file or image addresses directly into another site or app.
  • Removing or changing credits, watermarks or embedded metadata.
  • Suggesting that RealityTwinz or a creator endorses your product or campaign.

Editorial, research and education

We are happy to help teachers, students, researchers, journalists and heritage organisations. Ask us first: most noncommercial requests are granted free of charge, on the condition that the credit line we give is shown next to the material and links back to its page.

Videos made in the Studio

Videos you render from your own captures are yours. A video made from a capture you bought may be used as that capture's licence allows. A video made from a capture you have not licensed is for private viewing only.

Reporting a rights issue

If you believe a capture or image on the site infringes your rights, email office@realitytwinz.com with the page address, the material and proof that you hold the rights. The full procedure is in the Terms of Use.
