Creator Terms

Last updated

These terms apply when you upload, publish or sell captures on RealityTwinz, in addition to the Terms of Use. They are written to be short: you own your work, we need a few rights to run the platform, and you are responsible for having captured it properly.

You keep ownership

You keep all rights in the captures, images and descriptions you upload. We never claim ownership of them.

The rights you give us

So we can run the platform, you give us a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty free licence, for as long as your capture is on the platform, to:

  • Store your files and make processed copies: compressed versions, previews, thumbnails, collision meshes and streamed versions.
  • Show your capture on the site, in the viewer, in Ride and in the Studio, with your name as creator.
  • Show your published captures in our own promotion of the platform (website, social media, newsletters, presentations), always crediting you.
  • Publish to PlayCanvas when you ask us to, using the account you linked.

When you delete a capture, we stop showing it and delete the files, apart from promotion already published and backups that expire on their own.

Selling in the marketplace

  • You set the price for each licence you offer. We sell licences to buyers on your behalf under the terms on the Licences page.
  • For each sale we keep a platform fee of 10% of the price (after payment processing and VAT). The rest is yours.
  • Payouts are made by the method and schedule shown in your dashboard when payouts open. You are responsible for declaring your own income and taxes.
  • Licences already sold stay valid if you later remove the capture or stop selling it.

Your responsibilities

By uploading, you confirm that:

  • You made the capture, or you have the right to publish and license it.
  • You had permission to capture the place: from the owner of private property, and the permits a heritage site, museum or public authority requires.
  • Any drone flights followed the aviation rules where they took place.
  • People and vehicles cannot be identified (blur faces and number plates), unless those people agreed to it.
  • The capture contains no other protected work, such as artworks, logos or exhibitions, that you have no right to share.

If a claim is made against us because a capture breaks these promises, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result.

Review and removal

We review captures before they are published and may decline, unpublish or remove any capture that breaks these terms, receives a valid rights claim, or does not meet our quality bar. We tell you why when we do.
